Connect to Jesus

Have you ever felt that God was somehow missing from your life? 40thpraying2.jpg

You think He might be out there somewhere, but you wished you knew.

Have you ever wished that He was closer to you?

It may surprise you, but that’s how the God of the Bible feels about you.

In fact, He wants so much to get close and personal with you that He came here as a human – Jesus Christ.

Jesus was a man on a mission. Everything he did challenged people around him to rethink their priorities. He told them the kingdom of God was nearer than they thought, but they couldn’t get there on their own. Nobody is squeaky clean enough for the high standards of heaven - each of us has so much baggage – words we’ve said, things we have done, self-centred attitudes – sin.

God is fair, and there’s a price to pay for our past. He’s actually more than fair. He loves us. He won’t let us go our own way without trying everything to bring us back. So Jesus took the ultimate step. He gave his own life as the penalty for all we’ve done wrong. He died on a cross.

That’s not the end of the story! If it was, Christianity would be pretty much the same as many other religions – a set of good principles sent by a distant god. But Jesus is still around. He came back to life three days later.

He still wants you to turn away from whatever separates you from Him, and connect back to Him. For anyone who has the guts, or the desperation, to trust him with their lives, he offers the best gift ever: life with him beyond death and his presence in our lives right now.

YPC exists to bring ordinary people, believers and unbelievers, back to Jesus. Do a course, buy a Bible, come to a church service, talk to someone.

Get connected back to God.

Connect to YPC
connect23.jpgIf you are considering attending YPC - we would like to welcome you.

You will be invited to meet the connections team in our café for a coffee, and then to a connections lunch with other people who are new to YPC, which gives you an opportunity to meet some of the team and pastors, and hear more about YPC.

Sheenagh Bell, Connections Pastor, will ensure that you get connected with the right people and programs to suit you.

If you have any queries, please contact Sheenagh on (61 3) 9439 5555.

Lifegroups

Lifegroups are a great way to do life with others – by getting together regularly and learning together. Connection on a deeper level  with others is the focus - through life’s circumstances, achieved by spending quality time with one another. There is a strong social component as well as biblical teaching. This is also a forum for discussion and debate.

For more information about getting involved in a Lifegroup near you – please contact Stewart & Lyndal Cottis on (61 3) 9439 5555.

Volunteers

If you are interested in being involved as a volunteer at YPC – there are a number of opportunities that exist and areas in which to serve.

Please note that there are stringent requirements when it comes to working with children, including police checks and child protection policies that YPC adheres to. There is a time period of partnership and attendance required before getting involved.

Please contact Sheenagh Bell for more information on involvement and volunteering on (61 3) 9439 5555.
