History
In 1966, a small group of people from a local Baptist church decided that they wanted more of God’s presence in their lives, and wanted to connect others to His love. They started to study the Bible together regularly, to find out about the Holy Spirit. That fellowship grew, and eventually moved to the Rosanna RSL hall in 1969. Land was purchased in the late 1970s on Main Road, Lower Plenty.

Today we’ve become a vibrant group of approximately 700 people, meeting in two locations. Through various changes of name, venue and leadership, generations of people have experienced God’s presence at YPC.

It is our vision that future generations find meaning and hope in Jesus through the church, just as we have done.

Our House

YPC’s facilities began to reach full capacity early in this new millennium. Our buildings at 360 Main Road weren’t big enough to house all the church’s activities, let alone give room to grow.

So in 2003, YPC began planning for the future – aiming to create a centre to serve the community around us, as well as the church. Demolition of the old buildings began in early 2007, and new construction took place in stages throughout 2007-2008.

The ‘360 Centre’, as it is now known, has two state-of-the-art auditoriums, a special dance floor studio area, plus a purpose-built counselling centre, a pre-school play area, a sunny café, a book shop, flexible spaces for classrooms, and administrative offices.

As the Centre reaches completion in late 2008, YPC is excited to see the impressive results of our building program, and proud to be able to offer enhanced services to Melbourne's outer north-east community.

We invite you to come up and have a look around!
