Playgroups
“Plenty of Fun” Playgroups run morning sessions from Tuesday to Friday hours (during school terms). Our groups are aged based as we endeavour to cater for the needs of children at each particular stage of development.
Playgroup is a great time to interact with your child in a safe and fun environment. we encourage families to takethis time to play games, share activities and role model friendly play in a group atmosphere. Structured activities are designed to help children develop their fine and gross motor skills as well as develop their social skills.
We cater for newborns to 5 years old and also provide support and a welcoming environment for parents and caretakers.
Our room is open planned and we encourage 'self help' play for our older children while providing a carpet area for younger children to crawl and play on. We have a contained outdoor area and encourage a sun smart policy.
We run a 2 week rotation between a planned craft and creative song and dance led by our friendly and dedicated leaders.
We are focused on healthy eating and are a fruit only centre therefore snacks for children and parents need to be a selection of fruits and veggies. Free tea and coffee is provided to the parents or caretakers of children attending the playgroup.
Registration and payment at the YPC information desk.
We hope to see you at playgroup soon!

Cherish
Cherish is a monthly program supporting first-time mums with b abies up to 12 months old. Cherish exists to nurture and encourage new mums. Each session includes an informative talk and discussion – with topics generally focused on motherhood. Becoming a mum is a life-changing event, as women adjust to new roles and responsibilities. This time can be less than enjoyable for many women due to social isolation, depression or a loss of identity and self-worth.
Sessions are held monthly. Cherish is free of charge, with afternoon tea provided. Register at church office or for further information, please contact Angela Hicks on 0431 895 836 or

Eltham Eagles Soccer Club
Eltham Eagles provides a friendly, encouraging and fun environment for children, youth and adults to play soccer. The Eagles welcome players of all skill levels and we try to ensure that all players get match-time each game. Parents are strongly encouraged to be involved, including as coaches and team managers.
The club participates across all age groups in the Victorian Churches Soccer Association league, during the winter season.
It’s a great way to have fun, keep fit and make friends! Go to eltham.vsca.org.au for more details, including registration.
